What. A. Week.

On Thursday I received word I was selected as a 2023 RISMedia Newsmaker in the Influencer category and Heatherly Grace Shepherd was chosen as a 2023 Newsmaker in the Futurist category.

As I wrote on Facebook, this award is so awesome because I’m continually inspired by the leaders named to the Newsmakers’ list each year. Their success stories show me what’s possible, and prove just how far hard work, dedication, talent and pure grit can take you. (Answer: Anywhere you want to go.)

Check out the full 2023 Newsmakers list here and prepare to be MOTIVATED.

It’s a fun coincidence this honor aligns with a brand-new little word studio service called Awards Season, which we just launched today. The service was specifically created to supercharge your win, turning it into something far more productive and powerful than a shiny plaque on an office wall.

Business owners often hesitate to post about an award because they think it’ll sound like bragging but to that totally valid concern I say: Success should always be celebrated. After putting in the hard work and late nights, after bravely fighting off those challenges, after never giving up despite how many times life tried to knock you down, you deserve this win. And if what to write about the award is tripping you up, I’m here to help with messaging that strikes the perfect balance between confident and cool.

Our Awards Season package includes:

  • Custom press release written by me (fun fact: press releases are some of my favorite pieces to write because honestly, they can be a little dry and I relish the challenge of making them enticingly readable)
  • Overall messaging you can use for future marketing campaigns and in your personal bios
  • A social post customized for any 3 platforms of your choice
  • 3 custom and customizable Canva templates
  • 3 local media pitches

If you’re interested, fill out our contact form and let me know ASAP. I’m only opening up a few spots for the service this month (one spot was booked before we even officially launched) so I can focus on quality storytelling that will drive your business forward.

If you aren’t interested, that’s fine, too! But please let this be your sign to share your success with the world. It isn’t bragging. It’s being proud that someone recognized just how tough, dedicated and amazing you are. Plus, in telling people about your win, you’re showing them the award-winning skills you possess that they’ll benefit from just by working with you.
